What Shelf sells
Shelf sells 37 products in five categories: Kettles, Bikes, Books, Lamps and Backpacks. The brands, books and authors are invented. Every price is in USD, and sizes are metric: litres, centimetres, kilograms.
The header links to each category. "All products" shows the whole catalog, and the search box at the top finds products by name or brand.
Filters and sorting
"Price and more filters" narrows the list: a price range in USD (press "Apply price"), "In stock only" and "Free shipping". "Clear all filters" brings the whole list back.
"Sort by" orders the list: Featured, Price: low to high, Price: high to low, Name: A to Z, and Best rated. Sorting by price compares amounts, so USD 9.99 comes before USD 10.00 and USD 20.00 before USD 100.00.
The product page
A product page shows the price, the rating with the number of reviews, the stock and the product's details. "In stock" shows how many are left when 10 or fewer remain, for example "In stock: 4 left". A product with no stock says "Out of stock until the next delivery. You cannot add it to the cart now."
The page also says how the product ships: "Free shipping on this item." for a product that ships free, or "Free shipping from USD 50.00" for the others. "More like this" shows other products of the same category.
Two products are out of stock: the Ostra Smart Kettle with App Control (USD 129.00) and the Pedalwise E-Trek Electric Bike (USD 1,890.00). Ask Shelf cannot reserve them or say when they come back.
Your own products
Through the API you can create products of your own, up to 50. They are visible only to you, in your catalog and your cart, and they ship and take coupons like any other product. "Reset my data" deletes them.
