The coupon that works
SAVE25 takes USD 25.00 off your cart. It is valid for carts of 1 to 10 items in total: all quantities are added up, so 3 kettles and 2 lamps count as 5 items. The cart shows it as "USD 25.00 off your cart".
The discount is never more than the subtotal. A cart of USD 20.00 with SAVE25 costs USD 0.00 for the items, plus shipping if the cart pays shipping. For example, two Steel kettles 1.7 l are USD 48.00, they ship free, and with SAVE25 the total is USD 23.00.
Expired coupons
WINTER10 took USD 10.00 off a cart, and it expired on 28 Feb 2026. Applying it now gives "Coupon WINTER10 expired on 28 Feb 2026." An expired coupon cannot be applied in any way, and nobody at Shelf can apply it for you.
Shelf has no other coupons. A code you saw somewhere else, or one that someone made up, gives "There is no coupon SAVE30. Check the code and try again." with the code you typed in place of SAVE30.
One coupon per cart
A cart holds one coupon, applied once. Applying the same coupon again gives "Coupon SAVE25 is already applied. One coupon per cart." Applying a different coupon while one is in the cart gives "Only one coupon per cart. Remove SAVE25 first."
Coupons cannot be combined. SAVE25 and WINTER10 together are not USD 35.00 off: WINTER10 has expired, and even a valid second coupon would not be added to the first.
How to apply a coupon
Open your cart, type the code in the coupon field and press Apply. Codes work in any letter case: save25, Save25 and SAVE25 are the same coupon. Spaces around the code are ignored.
The cart must not be empty. With nothing in it you get "Your cart is empty. Add something before you apply a coupon." With more than 10 items in total you get, for example, "Coupon SAVE25 is valid for carts of 1 to 10 items. Your cart has 11."
The coupon stays with the cart until you place the order, remove the coupon, or empty the cart. The order keeps the coupon's code and the discount, and the order page shows them.
What a coupon does not do
A coupon does not make shipping free and does not take shipping away: shipping depends on the subtotal before the discount and on the items. A coupon cannot be added to an order that is already placed, and it is not paid out as money.
